Sending us e-mail

Clicking on e-mail addresses doesn't bring up a blank e-mail?

Most e-mail addresses on this website look like this: - if you find nothing happens when you click on it, your browser or pop-up blocker may be blocking it. If adding this site to your pop-up blocker list fails to fix the problem, please type the address into your e-mail, sorry for the inconvenience. (In Internet Explorer, click Tools, Pop-up Blocker, Pop-up Blocker Settings... - enter folkdance.org.nz, click Add and Close.)

Why? This aims to mask e-mail addresses from junk-mailers. Some of us now receive over 1000 junk mails a week, all as a result of advertising our e-mail addresses on the web. There is no other javascript on this website.

As an added defence against junkmail, when you send e-mail to the editor or web master, you will receive a automatic confirmation request. You have done nothing wrong.

So your e-mail is released to our In-boxes, please reply to the confirmation request (don't send another message, click the Reply button and Send). Please don't be frightened by this. Check your incoming e-mail after sending anything to the webmaster, editor, or to an Actrix address. If you see a confirmation request, just open it, click 'Reply' and 'Send'. (Don't try to fix the rather long address it goes to.)
